About Gospel Light Baptist Church
Gospel Light Baptist Church is an independent Baptist church located in Richmond Hill, just north of Toronto, Ontario. Our church is accessible from anywhere in Toronto or York Region. We currently meet at Richland Academy on Yonge Street just north of Gamble Road.
There are over 30,000 independent Baptist churches around the world. Every independent Baptist church is an autonomous congregation. We are self-governing and self-supporting. The head of the church is the Lord Jesus Christ. The Bible is our sole authority for faith and practice. The book of Acts is our pattern as we seek to truly be a local New Testament church.
Our Vision
We believe that the ministry of Gospel Light Baptist Church is vitally important to our local community, to the people of York Region, and even to all those in the Greater Toronto Area. We want to make a difference in people's lives.
Teenagers will receive direction to help them overcome peer pressure, set goals, and do God's will. Young people will be taught patriotism, respect for authority, honesty, hard work, moral values, and responsibility. Children will be taught to honour and obey their parents and to follow God's Word.
At Gospel Light, our ministry is focused on strengthening marriages and mending broken relationships. We want to help build strong homes and families, so that we can build a stronger society.
We want to shine a beacon of hope in an often troubled and confusing world. We will provide Bible answers to tough questions of life.
The preaching of God's Word can help us in every area of our life. We believe that the Bible is relevant in this generation and that obedience to the Word of God is the key to being a good success in life. We will provide free counseling and teach classes concerning marriage, finances, child rearing, and many other topics.
Our goal is to some day start a private Christian school where our children can receive a quality God-honouring education in a safe environment.
Our church services and regular activities give people of all ages and backgrounds a place to make friends with other Christians. The many ministries of the church offer our families an opportunity to serve the Lord together.
Most importantly, we believe that a person's eternal destiny can be changed by a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We teach people from the Bible how they can have assurance of salvation and know that they will go to Heaven one day.
Through zealous personal evangelism and a strong faith-promise world missions program, we can impact the Greater Toronto Area and the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ!
